Allison & Jake's wedding sneak peek

Had a great time shooting Allison and Jake's wedding this Saturday! The ceremony was held outside near a lake at a beautiful home in rural Cambridge. We started the day with the girls at Hair Etc., in Cambridge.

I love this shot of Allison looking out the window.  The skies had let loose and it poured through most of the morning, but we threaded the weather needle for the ceremony and shooting the bridal party and family portraits. The rain stopped just as the bride appeared and held off until after the ceremony, when it let loose again.

The wedding party boarded the party bus and we headed off to the "corn crib" where, a night or two before,  the bridal party had painted a little something to remember the big day!

It turns out, Jake and Allison met after Jake had started working as a farm hand for Allison's dad. He literally fell in love with the farmer's daughter! They boarded the party bus again and I think we hit every gravel road in Henry County on our way to the reception at the Annawan Best Western.

We had to get a shot in front of the September corn. The reception was a blast -- there's a ton of great photos coming -- but one of my immediate favorites was this one of Allison and her dad dancing during the father daughter dance. Maybe it's because I have daughters of my own, but the look on his face just says it all.
